The commercial ground rules, kept short enough to actually read before you sign anything.
Quotes and scope
Every project starts with a written proposal: what is included, what it costs and roughly when it will be done. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it starts, never added silently to an invoice.
Payment
50% is invoiced at the start and books the time in the calendar; the remaining 50% is due before launch. Invoices are payable within 14 days. Prices are excl. VAT.
Ownership
On final payment, the site, its code and its content are yours. Domain and hosting accounts are registered in your name wherever possible, so you are never locked in.
Revisions
Two consolidated rounds of corrections are included per project. A round is one collected set of feedback. Further rounds, new pages or a new design direction are billed at €60 per hour, excl. VAT, after your approval.
Your responsibilities
You provide content, access and feedback within the agreed timeline, and confirm that anything you supply — text, images, logos — is yours to use.
Pausing and cancelling
If a project goes quiet, I hold your slot for a month, then reschedule it. If you cancel, the first 50% payment and any work completed beyond it are non-refundable; nothing further is charged.
Care plans
Care plans are monthly and can be cancelled at any time, with no notice period. Unused change allowances do not roll over. Cancelling a plan never affects your ownership of the site.
Liability
I take care with the work, but I cannot guarantee search rankings, revenue or uninterrupted uptime of third-party services. Liability is limited to the fees paid for the work in question.
